Benefits Of A Fitness Assessment

With the results from a Fitness Assessment a Personal Trainer can establish the strengths and weaknesses of a Client and can see areas which need improvement, and a training programme can be designed and modified accordingly.  This way, training is more time efficient and the quickest way for a Client to reach their desired results.  The initial Fitness Assessment  can give an idea of where the Clients fitness levels are at the start of a programme, so that future Assessments can then be compared to this and changes modified.  Once a Fitness Programme has been agreed and acted upon  Fitness Assessments will be repeated at regular intervals to get an idea of the effectiveness of the Fitness Programme. The time between assessments can depend on availability of time and the phase of  the Programme. It usually takes a minimum of 2 - 6 weeks to see any change in any fitness level. 

Fitness Assements can provide incentives.  By knowing that there is to be a further assessment the Client can aim to improve a  test score to improve in a certain area for the following test score.
