When I first started bootcamp I was quite apprehensive because running is not something Ive enjoyed in the past and nor did I fancy getting up at 5am! but Kelly was infuriatingly full of beans and there was no choice but to go with the flow!
It was great fun learning to run with a group if a little sore at times, Kelly is a great motivator and I soon learnt to resite her favourite phrase of 'Grit Guts and Determination!
As I hit start of week three I started to feel the benefits of my efforts. I began to feel fitter than I had done in a long time. I noticed that my energy levels had increased enormously and felt that my performance in regular classes had improved as a result. I was also aware of increased strength and endurance and a feeling of 'owning' a healthy body which in turn gave a terrific sense of well- being.
There is something to be said for exercising outdoors with the elements {whatever they may be!}. It enhances one's senses to be there at the start of the day and brings a special quality with it's air of peace and tranquility and really does deliver a completely different training experience. I finally went off to my holiday destination having had extremely pleasing results from the fitness assessment that followed and I have to say I felt a great sense of achievement. I wore my bootcamp T Shirt with pride! all be it in the bar...... :) Well, everyone needs a day off.......
I met some great people on the camp not to mention passers by with their various dogs and a few rather curious fishermen! Had fun got fit! So thankyou Kelly for bootcamp it was an amazing experience, one which gave me personally the results that I had hoped for and alot more.
I highly recommend it!
